The JetRest Travel Pillow - The Original

Space Saving tips ?

The JetRest travel pillow rolls up by use of the fastening strap that is sewn onto the travel pillow.  This helps save lots of space when travelling though if you want to save even more space when not using the travel pillow, we recommend the compression strap which is sold seperately.

Cotton or Fleece covers - to be cool or warm ?

We have created many designs and cover options for the travel pillow.  The JetRest Original shown here comes in an array of colours though ffeatures cotton fabric covers of fleece.  Cotton as a natural fibre tends to be cooler to touch than man made fabrics and many men sometimes prefer the coolness of cotton.  Fleece is 100% polyester and we use a wonderful quality fleece that is deep in texture and by it's nature is warmer than the cotton covers.  The issue on choice is whether to choose a cooler or warmer cover.

Design or simplicity with The Original, The Collection or First Class ?

The JetRest Original Travel Pillow features our cotton and fleece covers and are by far the most popular choice among travellers looking for a travel cushion.  In Spring 2010 we launched The Collection which is a new range of patterned or textured fabrics to provide a fun alternative.  Check out the classic corduroy covers in The Collection as they have a wonderfully soft and slightly ribbed cover.  At the same time we also re-launched The JetRest First Class with 100% Scottish Cashmere covers.  These are incredibly soft covers for the ultimate chic travel gift and we now have pillar box red as well as the more classic tones.

Adult or Childrens ?

All The JetRest Travel Pillow range are designed for adults with the exception of The JetRest Junior.  The latter is our travel pillow made smaller and also as our favourite characters Toffee the cat and Scamp the dog.

How does The JetRest travel pillow stay in place on a seat ?

The JetRest Travel Pillow stays in place with the body's own weight leaning back against the pillow.  The unique L-Shape design means part of the travel cushion is behind your neck and simply by leaning back against this part, it stays in place.

Do I need a window seat for The JetRest travel pillow to work ?

No you do not need a window to lean against.  The JetRest Travel Pillow has a unique L-shape design and part fo the pillow is placed to the side of the head.  The pillow stays put by leaning back against any high backed seat and the side part of the cushion is the part that will support your head upright naturally.

Can I wash The JetRest travel pillow ?

We advise that you take off the removeable cover and wash the cover only.  Each pillow has a care label inside that will show you how to care for your pillow though most of the covers including the cotton and fleece covers can be washed in the washing machine at home.  We do not recommend waching the inside pillow with the fibre filling. Water wont harm it but washing tends to change the shape of the contents inside and may therefore affect the way the pillow works.

Can I use The JetRest original adult travel pillow for my children ?

There's no reason why not though we have made The JetRest Junior into a smaller pillow for children from 2 years upwards.  This pillow is primarily smaller in the part behind the neck to avoid puching the childs head forward and this is the main difference to the adult pillows.

Can I save space with The JetRest travel cushion when travelling ?

Yes, I personally don't take the optional carry case with me to save some space and do pack my pillow into the compression strap as this really compacts the pillow when you're not using it.  Use the carry case to store the pillow when not in use, and for example I keep my pillow in the carry case in the car. Using the optional compression strap is the best way to save space though dont store it for long perions of time compressed otherwiae it may stop the pillow fluffing back up when you release it.

Heating Instructions

  • Please take care heating this pack and be careful not to burn the wheat inside. If you smell a burnt smell, the heat pack is best thrown away and a new one purchased.
  • If your product comes with a removable cover, please remove this before heating in the microwave.
  • As a guide, smaller heat packs can be heated in the microwave for 30 to 60 seconds (at 800 watts) and larger packs from 60 to 120 seconds (reduce time for higher powered microwaves).  If you find the WheatyBag isn’t warm enough then microwave for a further 15 seconds each time and check that the pack does not become too hot for your own use.
  • The WheatyBag Heat pack will feel damp on the first few uses which is normal and will dry up over a few times.  Once it does dry out, it is advisable to put a small cup of water in the microwave while heating the pack to prevent excessive drying of the wheat.
  • Ensure all grilling / browning facilities if present in your microwave are turned off first. Do not place on a direct heat source.

Care Instructions

  • Do not wash the heat pack with wheat inside.  If you have selected to have a removable cover on your WheatyBag, please only wash the removable cover according to the care label inside the product.
  • Always test the temperature of the bag before applying.
  • ASTHMA SUFFERERS should be aware that this product contains wheatgerm.
  • To use cold, place in a plastic bag in the freezer for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Heating should take place by adults only and full care and attention is required.
